CORINE
Conception Optimisée pour la Réduction de l’Impact des Nuisances Environnementales (Acronym: Optimized Design for Reducing the Environmental Nuisances Impact)
LIFE08 ENV/F/00492
Duration
2010 – 2013
DESCRIPTION
Project’s aim
European companies operating in the aerospace, electronic or automotive sectors are facing increasing regulatory pressures to adopt a Life Cycle Thinking perspective to improve their environmental performance The CORINE project provided European SMEs in the helicopter industry with an innovative tool for the eco-design of helicopter parts, which act as a regulatory database and a tool to facilitate the identification of “greener” substitution materials and processes. More in detail, the project developed a Product Oriented Environmental Management System (POEMS) as an appropriate methodology for specific products and manufacturing processes involved in the helicopter industry.
HOW WE CONTRIBUTE
- Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
- Life Cycle Costing Analysis (LCC)
- Social Life Cycle Assessment
- Web platform for LCA/LCC data collection and elaboratio
- Development of the project’s visual identity
