DESCRIPTION
Project’s aim
Main objective of CIRCWIND is to develop and validate innovative technologies for current and future wind turbines (WT), namely, a new geopolymer concrete for floater and new Fibre-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) for the blades as well as advanced modelling, simulation, and experimental tools to obtain more reliable and life-extended WT components’ (especially blades and floater). The project’s goal is to address critical challenges facing European OEMs regarding reliability, operability, and maintainability, as well as to find cost-efficient pathways towards complete circularity in a context where a growing number of WT are reaching their EoL.
